Issue 7 Celebrate! Like the rest of the World we were very excited and VERY impressed with the introduction of the Street and Park Skateboarding course in Tokyo. This issue celebrates the journey it took some of these trailblazers to get there. We chat with, Gold Medalist Sakura Yosozumi, we also gain some wisdom from Aori Nishimura, Roos Zweetsloot, and Poppy Starr-Olsen among others. Lizzie Armanto gives us some amazing insight about her affinity for Scandinavian design and how she managed to infuse her own personality into her Finnish Kit! This issue is packed with inspiration!
The Risk Takers, Course Changers, Path Makers, Creators, Dreamers and Story Tellers. Issue 6 celebrates Self. Featuring a great set of interviews with Sarah Meurle (Sweden), Charlotte Hym (France), Daniela Terol (Spain), Mami Tezuka (Japan), Yurin Fujii (Japan), Ruby Lilley (USA), Sophie Grant (Canada and more. Lastly, a conversation with Jeff Ament, bassist for Pearl Jam. Jeff is an avid skateboarder and through his foundation Montana Pool Service Jeff has contributed to over 20 skate park builds in Montana State. At OH-SO we believe skateboarder’s strive to leave lasting impressions on the world around them. We aim to celebrate this with Issue 3! We’ve highlighted some female skateboarders who act mindfully to produce positive, memorable impressions—we hope they leave a lasting (an inspiring) impression on you too. One person who will leave a lasting impression on the world of skateboarding and who has set the standard for them all is Leticia Bufoni. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to interview Letica, Karen Jonz, Ynidara Asp, Dora Varella and so many others. We believe this is our best issue yet -- we think you will think so too.
Prior to the global pandemic we joined Sky Brown and Rayssa Leal on a skate-trip (riding in the van was included)—it was amazing. We began to realize that the road trip has more lessons to offer us in this moment than previously thought. While it is a reminder of our desire for inter-connectedness, it is also a reminder that movement (traveling near or far) brings wonder and awe to our lives. In this issue we celebrate Allysha Le’s prominent place in the Global Skate Scene, the emerging talent of Giovana Dias (Brazil), Haylie Powell (Australia) and the amazing Jordan Santana (Texas) who is on the journey to skate during next year’s Olympics, Tokyo 2021!
With Issue 4 we celebrate the natural talent of 13 year old Misugu Okamoto. Misugu is a unique talent, at press time she is riding 6 consecutive win's in competition and was aptly named Japan’s Action Sports “Skater of the Year” for 2019! Not bad for someone who’s only been skating for 5 years. We are also grateful to have had the opportunity to interview Amelia Brodka, Hayley Wilson, Maddy Balt, and so many others. We know you will like this issue it is action packed with great photography and intimate thoughts from some of the best in women’s skateboarding.
Exclusive! Signed copies of issue 3 by Leticia Bufoni—this should be in every fan’s collection!
Partial Proceeds to be donated to BOARDING FOR BREAST CANCER (B4BC) of which Leticia is an Ambassador.

The growing establishment of Pro and Amateur female skaters are creating new space for themselves. Sky Brown may only be 10-years-old, but the pint-sized skateboarder, dancer and surfer has ambitions beyond her tender years. It’s her outlook on the world that makes you think change (in all aspects of the word) is possible. We also have exclusive interviews with Bryce Wettstein, Keet Oldenbeuving, Rayssa Leal and Lore Bruggeman who are an example of just a few of the girls in the issue that have a passion which fuels inspiring thought into where skateboarding might be heading—and they seem to be the most in touch with it’s progressive ethos. We also chat with Andrea Benitez who has already changed skateboarding in Spain for the better. Needless to say the Global Female Skateboarding Community continues to present us with talented and thoughtful individuals who care about progression being positive and all-inclusive—Skateboarding will be so much better for that.
